Two more rare photos of Toyah have been made available recently, from the Love Is The Law and Minx eras, in anticipation of the reissue of both albums, and the Rebel Run 2024 EP.

In anticipation of the upcoming deluxe reissue of, Toyah’s 1985 debut solo album, Minx – a couple of previously unseen variations of Toyah photos from the Terence Donovan Minx-era shoots have been made available… Pre-order Minx here.

Photos 1&2. Taken the day Toyah had her Blue Meaning hair cut off, and had the style that she kept for Sugar ‘n Spice and through Autumn 1980.

Photo 3. Taken the day Toyah had her Rebel Run/Love Is The Law haircut in 1983.

Photo 4. Taken the day Toyah had her Don’t Fall In Love (I Said) cut and colour in early 1985.

All of these polaroids were provided by Keith at Smile, who began cutting Toyah’s hair at the time of Jubilee and created most of Toyah’s best known hairstyles during the 80’s. These were intended for a Toyah fanzine that never happened and I was kindly allowed to add them to Dreamscape.

A quartet of photos from the Electric Ladies Tour at Anvil Arts, Basingstoke (Thursday 16th June).

Toyah’s set was: Thunder In The Mountains / Good Morning Universe / Echo Beach / Brave New World / It’s A Mystery / Rebel Run / Danced / Space Dance / I Want To Be Free. The first encore was Toyah and Saffron performing Will You and then all of the Electric Ladies finished with Rebel Yell.
