Toyah is pleased to announce on 4 December 2026, Cherry Red Records will release Twenty-Four From Toyah, a 24CD box set celebrating Toyah’s singles discography with extensive bonus tracks, deluxe packaging and previously unreleased material.

The box set will be on-sale from 10:00am on Friday 18 September 2026 from Cherry Red Records. Initial orders will include an exclusive art card (that fits inside the box) featuring a previously unpublished Toyah image.

It chronicles a run of singles and EPs from 1979–1987 issued on the labels Safari Records, Portrait and EG Records. It marks the first time these Toyah singles have been released on this format. Each CD single contains the A-Side, B-Sides, mixes, rarities and relevant outtakes, plus selected live recordings. 21 of the total 197 tracks are previously unreleased.

An ultimate collector’s item, this limited edition deluxe release is a crescendo to the Toyah Safari catalogue being reissued and expanded since 2020 and follows the recently acclaimed retrospectives Chameleon/The Very Best Of Toyah (2025) and Revelations/B-Sides & Rarities (2026). Chameleon has been nominated for Best Catalogue Release in the AIM Association of Independent Music Awards 2026, and Revelations charted at no. 7 in the Official Independent Album Chart.

The box set houses 24 Picture Disc CDs in card wallets, with the recognisable single artwork reimagined with rare or previously unseen imagery from the original photoshoots. The box set artwork is inspired by the striking visuals from the Top 10 EP Four From Toyah and features gold foil blocked hieroglyphics and lettering. A 56-page booklet details each single’s release information, chart positions, recording dates, images of related artwork and ephemera plus trivia compiled by Toyah’s archivist who curated the box set.

A 41-year old rarity is now available digitally for the first time.

Toyah & Robert Fripp recorded the track Mothership in 1985 not long after they met to work on the album The Lady Or The Tiger. It was recorded in the same session as Freedom which later appeared as the closing track on the Sunday All Over The World album.

As part of Robert Fripp @80 series of releases and celebration playlists, it is now available to download/stream now, along with an audio commentary track with Robert talking about the track with David Singleton. The track is available on iTunes, Spotify, QoBuz and other digital platforms.

This unboxing looks at both editions of Revelations – B-Sides & Rarities – the 5CD box set and the grey smoke double vinyl. Across B-sides, instrumentals, alternate versions, demos and live recordings, it opens up a huge part of Toyah’s early catalogue, with plenty of previously unreleased material pulled from tape vaults and personal archives. Available digitally…. the 2023 Brave New World EP, only previously available as a very limited (now deleted) 10” red-colour vinyl.

This 4-track EP includes the rare Razzmatazz mixes of Brave New World and Street Creature, mixed before the album versions had even been finalised. These two tracks are available on CD exclusively on the forthcoming 5CD Revelations anthology, released 21st August.

5CD anthology of B-sides, rarities, etc

Toyah has announced Revelations, a rarities collection featuring material from the band’s time on Safari Records (1979-1983).

Revelations provides an alternate history of the Toyah Willcox-fronted new wavers by way of B-sides, outtakes, instrumentals, alternate versions, home demos and live tracks. Record label Cherry Red say that “it has been designed to perfectly complement the album catalogue reissue programme”. Remarkably, given how comprehensive the individual album reissues were, 50 of the 102 tracks on Revelations are previously unreleased. The box has been compiled by by Toyah archivist Craig Astley alongside Joel Bogen, co-founder, composer and guitarist with the band.

This is a 5CD set, in a clamshell box, with each disc in an individual wallet. These are accompanied by a 40-page booklet.

2LP VINYL EDITION: The 2LP Vinyl brings together for the first time ever the band’s complete run of B-Sides and flexi-discs plus three completed outtakes not included on LPs, EPs or singles. This marks the first time these 22 B-Sides and non-album tracks have appeared together on one single release. From the beloved War Boys and Angels & Demons (both from the top 5 hit EP Four From Toyah) and Voodoo Doll (12” B-Side of the top ten hit single Thunder In The Mountains) to the two-track flexi-disc release featuring Sphinx and For You, and Warrior Rock, a flip-side of 1982’s Brave New World.

Revelations is pressed on Grey Smoke vinyl housed in a full colour outer jacket with spot gloss detailing. Two colour inner bags feature rare, unseen and classic Toyah imagery. Following on from last year’s highly praised Chameleon – The Very Best of Toyah, this collection grants lots of Toyah fans wishes to present the band’s B-Sides on one album, whilst the vast majority of the 22 tracks have also not been pressed on vinyl since the 1980s.

5CD BOX SET EDITION: The 5CD box set is an anthology of 102 tracks in total, of which 50 are previously unreleased. Revelations is housed in a clamshell box with spot gloss detailing and features classic, rare and unseen images. Last week marked the 45th anniversary of the original release of Toyah’s iconic early 80’s hit I Want To Be Free. Originally released on 1st May 1981, the song was written by Toyah Willcox & Joel Bogen and produced by Nick Tauber.

Last Friday, 45 years to the day, I Want To Be Free was made available as a single on digital and steaming platforms with its two original B-Sides and restored artwork.

Toyah announces 45th anniversary reissue of EP ‘Four From Toyah’

Toyah Willcox is still releasing music, with her greatest hits album ‘Chameleon: The Very Best Of Toyah’ arriving in 2025, with a huge tour planned for 2026, but she started releasing music more than four decades ago. The singer was known, along with her band, for songs like ‘It’s a Mystery’, and it has now been announced that Toyah is set to re-release the EP ‘Four From Toyah’ to celebrate it’s 45th anniversary.

Announcing the news on social media, Toyah’s official account shared several images, including an original press release promoting the EP, along with photos of Toyah from the early 80s.

To mark the EP’s 45 anniversary, on Friday 30 January 2026, Four From Toyah is released on digital/streaming platforms with its original artwork. The expanded 8-track EP released in 2021 will also appear on digital platforms.

NOW Music have confirmed a new Yearbook release, Vault ’82, focusing on tracks from 1982.

NOW Yearbook Vault ’82 will be released on 16th January 2026.

The Vault brand celebrates lesser known singles that weren’t huge chart hits, sometimes not hits at all, or maybe more successful in the US than in the UK.

Toyah’s Ieya ’82 is included on CD2 of the release. Other artists include: The Cure, Kim Wilde, Bananarama, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Culture Club, Funboy Three, Visage, The Go-Go’s and many more. The formats of Vault ’82 are 4CD deluxe with hardcover book and 28 page booklet, 3LP coloured (yellow) vinyl and standard 4CD in a card sleeve.

NOW Music say: 1982 was a stellar year in pop music. We have already included more than 150 tracks on the CDs of the 1982 Yearbook, the 80-84 Final Chapter, and their extras so far in our appreciation of the year. Those tracks were generally the bigger hits of the year, with their chart achievement a factor in their inclusion – however – that’s not the whole singles story of the year, and our celebration of 1982 wouldn’t be complete without shining a light on some of that year’s singles that have been compiled much less frequently over the past 40 years.

We’re racing towards the end of 2025, with Toyah’s career-encompassing Chameleon just recently released on CD, vinyl and deluxe box set, and even more recently the mesmerising book Meteorite crashed to earth, accompanied by a new nine song (demos) album; Swipe Right, Paradise…

All of this, coming hot on the heels of Toyah’s entire Safari Records discography being lovingly reissued by Cherry Red Records over the past five years, plus expanded deluxe editions of Toyah’s first five solo albums, plus a variety of reissues on picture disc and coloured vinyl.

The past half-decade has been a scintillating and exciting time to be a Toyah fan… but can I just say, in my very humble opinion, I think Track 5 on Swipe Right, Paradise… “The Science Of Me” is one of the finest songs Toyah has ever released. Incredible, when you consider her music career began in 1979! Can’t wait to see what follows with this particular song, as well as future music.
