Now that Dreamscape has nestled into its 15th year online I thought it was time to give the site a bit of a makeover.
Over the last couple of months, inbetween work, life, sleep, fanzines and other websites, I’ve been revamping each section and I finally managed to finish and uploaded the changes this weekend – I’m pleased with the finished result and think the alterations give Dreamscape a bright, fresher (and fun) look.
I’ve also added content and brought up to date a few of the sections that had been slightly neglected over the last couple of years. I sometimes forget how vast the archives of this site are…

Pop icon, TV presenter and actress Toyah Willcox is headlining this year’s Crick Boat Show & Waterways Festival.
The annual event, which showcases the inland waterways industry with over 250 exhibitors from across the canal world, takes place at Crick Marina, near Daventry in Northamptonshire, from 24 to 26 May 2014.
Toyah will be performing her ‘Acoustic, Up Close & Personal’ set at Crick as part of the show’s Saturday evening entertainment programme.

80s singer Toyah Willcox to headline Crick Boat Show
Pop singer and TV presenter Toyah Willcox will headline this year’s Crick Boat Show & Waterways Festival.
The annual event, which showcases the inland waterways industry with over 250 exhibitors from across the canal world, takes place at Crick Marina, near Daventry in Northamptonshire, on the weekend of May 24 to 26.
The show is expected to attract 25,000 visitors and Toyah will be performing her ‘Acoustic, Up Close & Personal’ set during the Saturday evening entertainment programme.
Her gig will include renditions of her most well-known singles, such as It’s A Mystery, Thunder in the Mountains and I Want to Be Free and she will tell stories from her colourful 35-year career.

Taking to the stage at the 4th Vintage TV Sessions (20th March, 8pm) are: punk princess Toyah Willcox and her band: indie rockers The Struts, 80s idol Nik Kershaw, the gorgeous Judie Tzuke of ‘Stay with me ‘til Dawn’ fame; and acclaimed singer songwriter Josephine. Let’s keep it live!

We haven’t had a Classic Toyah post for a while – Rectifying this with a very rare magazine advert from July 1981, from Finnish magazine ‘Soundi’. They also published an issue with Toyah’s Brave New World image on their cover in 1982, and another full-page advert for The Changeling. Click below to see the full size advert. The Humans’ third album Strange Tales has been becoming available worldwide as each timezone hits Midnight and the world enters March 2014.
Here in the UK it has just been released and is now available to buy at Amazon UK and iTunes. You can also get it at Amazon US and no doubt many other digital music stores very soon.
The much anticipated album has been previewed over the last week via a series of Tell Tales at a selection of Toyah/Humans-related websites.

Recorded in Seattle, seven tracks make up the third album created by the transatlantic band comprising Toyah Willcox, Chris Wong and Bill Rieflin. Rieflin once again helmed production of the album. As previously stated, this third instalment in the musical adventures of The Humans adds more instrumentation into the mix with saxophone and violin featuring for the first time.
It’s the final “Tell Tale” today. The album will be available at Midnight tonight, in whichever timezone you are in: The final tell tale previews the album opening track Slow Descent at the album entry for Strange Tales at the Toyah Official Discography.
