All over the world it’s Sunday, temperatures are soaring, runners run in the park, it all goes too fast, except for those who find life boring… Toyah & Robert’s Sunday Lunch this week is perhaps the one many of you from ‘all over the world’ have been waiting for the most…
A number of people have asked what would it sound like if Toyah and King Crimson’s music came together. In this week’s sunday lunch, it’s no longer a mystery.
Today’s Sunday lunch from Toyah & Robert is for all of you who miss the ones you love. x (My Dad is a big fan of Dance In The Hurricane, and he loved Toyah and Robert’s performance of it today, and the sentiment expressed).
Viewers have been wondering what is inside Toyah’s red handbag….. wonder no more.
Premiering today – Toyah & Robert Fripp – Caffeinated Mouse Tap Dancing to “Fracture”. Toyah & Robert’s Sunday lunch this week is a visual representation of what King Crimson’s Fracture sounds like to Toyah. Fracture is arguably the hardest King Crimson song to play on guitar.
One of the little joys of the past few grim months have been the videos by Toyah and hubby Robert Fripp where they dance, sing and muck about in their kitchen and garden. Here’s a particularly quirky one.

The King Crimson guitarist and his wife honour VE heroes with version of the David Bowie song
King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp and his wife Toyah have released a video of themselves performing a cover of David Bowie’s Heroes (a song Crimson themselves released back in 2017) to celebrate VE Day.
Fripp’s Uncle Bill, aka RAF Flight Sergeant Alfie Fripp, and Toyah’s own relative Beric Wilcox had both been in the armed services, Alfie Fripp even helped in the planning of The Great Escape. Radio 2 even played Bowie’s original version of Heroes in Fripp’s honour when he died, which of course featured his nephew on guitar.
Both Fripp and Toyah have been entertaining fans with humorous videos of themselves during lockdown, including the pair dancing and even performing ballet. Most can be seen on Toyah’s You Tube page.

Holed up in his palatial English estate overlooking a scenic lake, Fripp and his wife, singer/entertainer Toyah Willcox, have recently shared some videos that … well, if you’d ever hoped to see a prog rock legend dress up in a bee costume and frolic around the backyard during lockdown, it’s your lucky day.
