Dreamscape News Archive: 2020 Toyah News
All of our 2020 news, so far, has just been added to the News Archive >> The archive dates back to the start of Dreamscape, which was created during 1999, as the old millennium was coming to an end, and launched in March 2000 at the dawn of the new one!
We are fast approaching 21 years online and during that time the website has been a constant source of Toyah news, releases, interviews, press, appearances, television, radio, films and much more…
Covering numerous eras from those years: Velvet Lined Shell, In The Court Of The Crimson Queen, Toyah & The Humans, From Sheep Farming To Anthem Tour 2011, Calamity Jane, Toyah Solo, I’m A Celebrity and many more.
Our News Archive also has many posts from the classic years of Toyah’s career (1976 – 1999). There’s a lot more news to come… 2020 has brought many great Toyah releases and next year it’s set to continue with the Safari back catalogue being reissued in deluxe formats, as well as many live dates.

Dreamscape: The Furious (Vegetarian) Futures
This website is now in it’s 20th year – yes I’ve been furiously typing away here for over 19 years now – and before anyone accuses me of moaning about that, I’m not. Yes, I have been known to complain very occasionally :), but not at the moment! I’ve mostly enjoyed posting about Toyah’s amazingly eclectic career over the years. It’s been fascinating, fun, fulfilling, occasionally frustrating and fundamentally a fantastic hobby (lots of f’s from Fleming there!). I’ve been thinking about the future of this site, what with the absolute juggernaut onslaught of social media, one sometimes wonders if websites, particularly fansites, are a resource that is even needed anymore? I’m vaguely proud of keeping this site going as it proves I’m not as fickle as I thought. The only other thing I’ve stuck with for longer is being vegetarian. Almost 35 years of not eating animals. Veggies need to be louder and prouder in these ridiculous vegan-bashing times!!!
So with regards to all that I think Dreamscape is going to change. More streamlined, news-orientated/focused, and possibly a sporadic print version – sort of a back-to-basic newsletter type format – for people who aren’t completely living in a digital world. Watch this space!

Stay Updated on TOYAH!
Toyah just gets busier and busier – films, theatre, music, gigs and much more – stay updated on all things Toyah the best way there is, direct from my favourite workaholic herself – at Twitter.
Thanks to everyone who has been emailing about the lack of news posts here. After 17+ years of updates at this site and three years working on the Toyah fanzine without a break between 2013 – 2016 I decided 2017 would be a year of very sporadic updates at toyah.net.
