I’ve made a start on a new update to Dreamscape’s Gallery: Adding the numerous fantastic rarities that have surfaced over the last year or so, with other ‘new’ Toyah photos, as well as correcting some date errors etc. It’ll probably take a while to complete, I’ll keep you posted!

Andrew York has restored some previously posted photos, including creating a full Toyah image from the 1980 Smirnoff advert. Great work as always by Andrew. View all of our recent Andrew-related news posts. Please click on each preview below to view larger versions.
I’d always thought the photo below right, from the ‘From Sheep Farming To Anthem’ 2011 tour at Leicester Square Theatre in London, reminded me of another photo. It wasn’t until Andi recently sent me the above ‘New Chartbusters’ article that I realised which one… Toyah 1980 & 2011! Click to zoom. (Thanks to Andi & Damon King)
This time exactly 30 years ago Toyah were halfway through ‘The Changeling Tour’. 4th July 1982 saw the band play the first of two nights at Bristol’s Colston Hall before they headed up north and to Scotland. Thanks to Andi Westhorpe for sharing this rare photo from the tour.

This has been one of my favourite Toyah photos ever since I saw it in a magazine exactly 30 years ago in Summer 1982. I tried rescanning it over the weekend and Andrew York has, yet again, worked his magic to restore it. Click to view a larger version.
Photos of Toyah live at last weekend’s ‘Mylor Sessions’. View larger versions of each, and the songs that made up the two set lists, at Dreamscape’s Gallery. (Thanks to Angus Turner)
More photos from yesterday’s Sleeping Beauty press launch/photo call. These were all tweeted by the Marlowe Theatre, the venue where Toyah’s panto for 2012 will play. An advert/etrailer was also filmed to promote the panto. There’s a new video interview with Gareth Gates at Kent Online. This includes footage of Toyah. (Photos © Marlowe Theatre)
I spent most of yesterday colouring this photo. Crazy I know, but I’ve always wanted to see a non b&w version of it as it’s my favourite band shot from that era… Click to zoom!
