Dreamscape is heading towards its 27th year online in March, and I’d like to wish all our visitors a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2026! December was a really busy month for the website, and it looks like the upcoming year is going to be even busier. Let’s make 2026 a colourful year!

Dreamscape On Tour!: Christmas In The Highlands

December 22nd, 2025

I took another trip up to The Highlands last week for, yes, another festive day out. We had breakfast, and later dinner, at The Great Glen in Fort William and had a Christmassy day in and around the town. Delightful, and of course we took some photos…

Christmas 2025: Day 17: A Dreamscape Christmas

December 17th, 2025

Christmas 2024, and I wished all the visitors to Dreamscape a Merry Christmas with a giant Toyah Christmas card.

I’ve been posting self posts – almost always Toyah related – on here for a couple of years now, and most people seem to like them, so it may continue in 2026.

Working on Dreamscape has been a part of my life for almost half the time I’ve been alive now, so sharing some personal content on these pages just seemed to organically happen over time. Of course the main focus will always be Toyah. I still love reporting on Toyah’s legendary career. It’s fun, always interesting and an enjoyable hobby, and here’s to a very Merry Christmas to everyone reading this in 2025, and a Happy 2026 – Please pay us a visit sometime next year!

Dreamscape On Tour!: Glasgow Loves Christmas

December 16th, 2025

We had a fantastic festive Saturday night out in Glasgow at the weekend, starting with a lovely meal, and lots of chat, at China Sea on Renfield Street, then a great time at The Polo Lounge with Christmas cocktails, including a fab Margarita – and we ended a brilliantly Christmassy night at Speakeasy!

For the third consecutive December I had a wonderful festive day last week in Dundee with Sharon and her folks, Irene and Bob. We had an amazing Christmas lunch at Market restaurant in the city. Later, Sharon and I visited the fab Secret Pub for a festive mocktail. Such a lovely day with lots of laughter and Christmas moments!

Dreamscape: The Toyah Willcox Fansite

December 14th, 2025

As I’ve previously mentioned, this is Dreamscape’s 26th Christmas online. I’m really proud of this website’s history and also that we always rank very high in Google’s search rankings – often on the first page – meaning the site is incredibly easy to find and that accessibility means we receive a lot of visits each and every day. Our archives, including a vast history of “Press Clips” are constantly being browsed and it’s great that all the past news, info and updates from across Toyah’s career are being referenced and looked at very regularly. Dreamscape has been a tremendously fulfilling hobby to me, and I still love celebrating Toyah’s incredibly interesting and colourful career, so here to 2026 and whatever the next year may bring!

Dreamscape On Tour!: The Science Of Christmas

December 10th, 2025

We had a fascinating night out at the Science Lates: Merry Little Christmas event at Glasgow Science Centre, at Pacific Quay, on Saturday night. A four-hour festive extravaganza that included a theatre show and much more. We were set on fire, hit by a hammer, spun upside down on a giant wheel and much more. A lot of fun!, and then into the city centre to throw some festive shapes at The Polo Lounge.

Dreamscape On Tour!: An Edinburgh Christmas

December 7th, 2025

We had an amazingly festive day out in Edinburgh last Thursday. Breakfast at The Booking Office on Waverley Bridge, some Christmas shopping and exploring the huge market at Princes Gardens, lovely afternoon tea at Willow Tea Rooms, and visits to say hello to Paddington and Greyfriars Bobby. Just a lovely day and great way to start Christmas!

Christmas 2025: Day 6: Dreamscape Christmas Pasts!

December 6th, 2025

Christmas 2025, Dreamscape is celebrating 26 Christmas times online this year, and for almost every one of those we have counted down to the 25th with an advent calendar or sometimes just a selection of seriously Christmassy Toyah related posts.

Christmas has always been incredibly important to me as I’ve always loved the wonderful colours and scents of the season, there is nothing like a beautifully put together Christmas tree or a perfectly curated festive window display.

I also associate this time of the year with my happy childhood and celebrating Christmas with my parents and pets, who are all gone now, but I always remember them even more so than usual at Christmas.

It made perfect sense to me that Christmas would be a big part of Dreamscape’s December each and every year, especially as Toyah and Robert love Christmas too. Aside from all of the above, I always feel that the world feels just a little more joyful and happy during December…

Dreamscape On Tour!: Glasgow Smiles Better

December 2nd, 2025

Lovely day out in Glasgow last week with my pal, Mark. He came all the way up from Wales – via Newcastle – to see his friend in panto at Glasgow’s legendary King’s Theatre, but we also had a catch up, doing some shopping in the city centre and a fantastic meal at The Ivy on Buchanan Street. Great food, fantastic service, lovely atmosphere and venue.

Dreamscape On Tour!: A Little Glasgow History!

December 1st, 2025

We had a fun, pre-festive, day out in Glasgow last week, beginning with a lovely breakfast at The Crystal Palace and then onto the West End and spending some quality time at – the stunning 575 year old – Glasgow University, a visit to, the equally fantastic, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, a saunter around beautiful Princes Square and then along to HMV on Argyle Street for some Toyah spotting – Yup that’s the album that changed my life – Anthem – I’m modelling!

Christmas 2025: It’s Almost December!

November 23rd, 2025

It’s almost December 2025, and that can only mean that Dreamscape will be digging out its decorations and counting down to Christmas Day with tons of festive Toyah content. This is our 26th Christmas and just like almost every other December we’ll be sharing facts and stats and info you already know too well but that’s the point of Christmas, wrapping ourselves in happy, treasured, familiar memories… There might be a few surprises along the way too… It’s going to be tinseltastic. Stay tuned! Yule be nutcrackers to miss it.

Dreamscape On Tour!: Sensational Stirling

November 23rd, 2025

We’re rollercoasting towards the end of the year but Dreamscape’s 2025 Tour continues… Last week myself and Sharon headed to lovely, historic Stirling – Scotland’s smallest city – for a day of fun, laughs, food and photos! We had breakfast at The Crossed Peels, visited Stirling Castle, The Smith Art Gallery & Museum, Old Town Jail, Thistles Centre, went Toyah spotting at HMV, and we even – temporarily – got our angel wings. A great day in a great city.

Dreamscape On Tour!: Toyah! Toyah! Toyah!

October 29th, 2025

Our latest Dreamscape On Tour! date was a very special and exciting one as myself and my pal Alec went for a lovely meal in the city centre and then to Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on Sunday night to see Toyah supporting Adam And on his Ant Music Tour 2025.

I’ve saw Toyah live many times over the years, the first time in 1981 at Glasgow Apollo – on the legendary Anthem Tour, and Alec even more times than me – he even went to New York specifically to see Toyah & The Humans live, and yet we both agreed Sunday night’s support set was one of the best experiences of ever seeing Toyah live. Amazing!

She sounded incredible – that note during Ieya…,, and awesome Neon Womb, stunning Race Through Space, mesmerising Rebel Run – looked amazing – her new tour look is gorgeous, a touch of the old but also up-to-date new, and performed to a packed Concert Hall (a fantastic venue) on the first of two dates in the city.

We both had a great time, and Adam wasn’t half bad either, though we were both there to see Toyah. A great night was finished off with a few drinks and lots of chat about a memorable gig.

Dreamscape On Tour!: Wendy James | King Tuts

October 25th, 2025

We had a great day out in Glasgow earlier this week, visiting the amazing Purrple Cat Cafe during the afternoon and a great time seeing The Wendy James at King Tuts in the evening. Great venue, fantastic gig, amazing band.

Dreamscape On Tour!: Sensational St Andrews

October 5th, 2025

We – that’s my pal Sharon and myself – started off, what’s going to be a busy, October with a wonderful day out in beautiful St. Andrews in Fife. We had a great walk around the town centre, before visiting the seafront, beach and harbour. If you’ve never been to St Andrews I’d definitely recommend adding it to your bucket list.

We spent some time at St Andrews University – such a historic place, founded over 700 years ago and the oldest university in Scotland, and the third oldest in the English-speaking world. Amazing! Later we went to St Andrews Museum, another fascinating place.

The day was rounded off with a few hours back in Dundee, dinner and some time at the “Secret Pub”. This is gorgeous and the surroundings, ambience and music ensure you really do feel you feel like you’ve been transported back in time to the 1920s. Lovely!

Dreamscape On Tour!: Edinburgh Castle/Camera Obscura

September 20th, 2025

Our latest “tour date” (aka a day out) was a joint birthday celebration for Sharon’s birthday (18th September) and my birthday (15th September). Yes, we are both Virgos!! A faberoonie day out in Edinburgh – Delicious high tea at The Dome – lovely staff who added a wee bit extra for our birthdays – a visit to the amazing castle – a jaunt around the city – and finishing with a fun afternoon at Camera Obscura.

Dreamscape On Tour!: Tutankhamun Experience/King Tut’s

September 8th, 2025

We had a, much needed, fun day out in Glasgow on Friday. Beginning with a big breakfast at The Crystal Palace, then onto the amazing Tutankhamun: The Immersive Experience at the SECC, a walk around the city centre, lunch and then a visit to King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, where Toyah played in 1993 & ’94.

Dreamscape On Tour!: Glasgow Pride +

July 25th, 2025

We had a colourful time celebrating Glasgow Pride last weekend in, yup, Glasgow! Starting at the city’s legendary Barrowland Ballroom and then visiting The Crystal Palace, The Underground, Delmonica’s, The Corset Club, Merchant Pride, The Social Hub to name just a few places! Interesting Fact #1: Toyah has never played Glasgow Barrowland, though she has gigged – as part of a band as a solo artist – at numerous other venues in the city, including many which have now gone, such as Glasgow Apollo, Tiffany’s and Bourbon Street!

On Sunday we visited the incredible, 1000-year old, Paisley Abbey in my hometown. Interesting fact #2: Toyah’s two-series BBC show Barmy Aunt Boomerang from the late 90s/early 00s was filmed on location in Glasgow & Paisley.

Dreamscape On Tour!: In Perth For My Mum

June 16th, 2025

My Mum – Isobel – was born on Friday 13th June 1941 and she died on Friday 13th June 1997, exactly 56 years later. Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction! So this Friday 13th June was a very special “Dreamscape On Tour” date for me, spending the day in the city my Mum was born in, Perth, on what would have been her 84th birthday. It was a happy day and I felt close to my Mum. Thanks to Sharon for sharing the day with me.
