• The Humans played their album launch gig in Estonia on Friday evening. Reports say that the concert went well.
• Unfortunately availability of ‘We Are The Humans’ has been slightly delayed.
• Remember The Eighties, the website the album is exclusively available through until it is released on iTunes, issued this information:
Thank you so much for pre-ordering the new album from Toyah / Bill Reiflin / Chris Wong’s new project ‘The Humans’.
In a perfect world the albums would be all packed up right now ready to be posted to you in the morning, however it turns out that the world is not quite perfect and although the jiffy bags are all addressed and stacked up, I still haven’t actually received the albums from the pressing plant. Apparently a printing problem has meant that a whole new set of covers has had to be printed which has led to delays with the delivery.
The albums are due to be delivered any day now (I’m afraid that at the moment I can’t be more specific than that) and will be packed and shipped out to you as soon as possible, but it only seemed fair to warn you that they might not be shipped tomorrow as planned. Sorry… [Thanks to Minna]
‘We Are The Humans’, the debut album by The Humans (Toyah, Bill Rieflin & Chris Wong), is now available for pre-order at Remember The Eighties.
A strictly limited Estonian edition of the album has been produced which is available to pre-order exclusively at RTE with dispatch on Friday 1st May.
There is now a feature on The Humans at The Official Toyah website, and Toyah’s Official MySpace was updated yesterday with bumper Easter News. Lots of interesting tidbits, including news on a forthcoming Toyah documentary (whether this is the aforementioned Psychic Therapy or another docu I’m not sure) on The Biography Channel, aka bio, and also that Toyah will appear in Series Two of Ashes to Ashes, albeit in poster form. Check out the Easter News update here, and click on the image below to see The Humans feature.

The clip of ‘Icarus’ is also at The Official Toyah MySpace, along with other clips from The Humans and songs from Toyah’s last two albums ‘Velvet Lined Shell’ and ‘In The Court Of The Crimson Queen’.
Toyah also talks about The Humans in her April blog.
The Humans MySpace has been updated with samples of new songs; ‘Labyrinth’, ‘Twisted Soul’ (previously ‘This Is Your Life’), ‘Demigod’, and ‘Quicksilver’, plus a new version of ‘We Are The Humans’.
Toyah’s Official MySpace now also has ‘Quicksilver’ and ‘Demigod’ on its player.
“THE HUMANS is a project that fills my heart with light and happiness. The story behind this is the Estonian Embassy asked myself, the hubby, and Bill Reiflin to do a concert in Estonia around November, of course Robert said No…why say YES when a word like NO is so easy to say. BUT Bill and I said YES! And thus we became THE HUMANS.”
That’s what Toyah said about The Humans in her May 2007 Webletter/Blog.
Three samples of songs; ‘We Are The Humans’, ‘This Belongs To You’ and ‘This Is Your Life’ were made available at The Humans MySpace when it launched in June 2007.
Exclusive photos of Toyah and Bill Rieflin were also added to MySpace and later further images included Chris Wong, who became The Humans’ third member.
In September 2007 a Dean Stockings video was produced for the song ‘We Are The Humans’, featuring footage of the band rehearsing. The album, ‘We Are The Humans’, was recorded in Seattle, USA.
So far The Humans have played three live gigs; 25th October, Tallin, 26th October, Tartu, and 27th October, Viljandi. All in 2007 and all in Estonia. A fourth concert, the ‘We Are The Humans’ album launch, takes place on 1st May, once again in Estonia.
This concert is special for a number of reasons; it’s the launch of a much-anticipated album, Robert Fripp will be supporting The Humans, as well as guesting in their set, the gig will be recorded for a possible live release, and the President of Estonia will be in attendance as part of the Anniversary of Estonia Independence.
THE HUMANS… Are Here!

Happy Halloween to you all – and spookily… a bunch of vampires will descend on Ipswich this evening. Rumour has it it the event will be filmed as well!! Toyah and Vampires Rock are at the Ipswich Regent, with a film crew capturing the show for a future DVD release (not confirmed as yet but highly likely).
PS. It’s exactly one year since Latex Messiah (Viva La Rebel In You) was released. Time flies!

Toyah updates us with a plethora of news about The Humans in her November Blog. The band guested on the Estonian equivalent of GMTV on Wednesday 24th October, all three of the Estonia gigs sold out, they were filmed so there should be a DVD available at some point. Toyah also mentions the (possbly working) title of The Humans album, due for release in 2008. Please visit www.toyahwillcox.com to read Toyah’s November Blog.
Happy Halloween to all Dreamscape’s visitors. The great news this October 31st is that Toyah’s Latex Messiah (Viva La Rebel In You) is currently number 30 on the iTunes Plus Top 100 Downloads Chart, and, better still, number six in the iTunes Plus Rock chart. It is also no. 92 in the general iTunes Rock chart. Keep downloading!!
