There are also plays of ‘It’s A Mystery’, ‘Be Proud Be Loud (Be Heard)’, ‘Thunder In the Mountains’ and ‘I Want To Be Free’. The interview and music runs for around 35 minutes.

Toyah will be guesting on a future edition of In Conversation with Steve Allen, which airs on LBC (London’s Biggest Conversation), the 24/7 talk radio station.
The programmes air as two 30-minute double-bills each Sunday morning between 6 and 7am. LBC can be listed to live online (no “Listen Again” function but you can purchase podcasts of previous broadcasts for £2). Steve tweeted earlier this week: “Lovely Stephen mulhearn is doing heart brekky this week so he dropped in, such a nice guy, and toyah really good fun. There’s a great page at Focus On The Family on the Radio Theatre production of Les Misérables. Toyah plays Fantine in the 2007 full-cast audio drama which is available to buy on CD or download.
A Radio Theatre Classic: It’s one of the world’s masterpieces of storytelling. Against the stirring background of the French Revolution, follow the tale of Jean Valjean as he encounters the savage injustice of the law — and then the gentleness and grace of God. It depicts events like the battle at the barricade and a heroic rescue through the underworld of Paris.
Toyah Willcox as Fantine: Toyah co-starred with Sir Laurence Olivier in the acclaimed British TV production Ebony Tower. Her film roles include Miranda in The Tempest, Jubilee,Quadrophenia and The Corn is Green with Katharine Hepburn.
Toyah will guest on a future edition of the long-running BBC Radio 4 series Ramblings. The programme in which, the fantastic (yes I’m a fan ;)), Clare Balding joins notable and interesting people on a walk through the countryside.
Earlier today Clare tweeted: “Today I am walking with Toyah Wilcox for Ramblings. She has a bad ankle so it may be more of a shuffle“. Someone then replied telling her that “Wilcox” was “Willcox”, and there then followed a series of tweets which, if Twitter had existed, could have been posted anytime between 1987 and now: “It’s a Mystery“, “turning suburbia upside down“, “Mum deodorant“… Such fun! Clare’s tweet was also posted by Celeb Tweets (Not being a follower of Twitterers, I have to admit this is where I first spotted it).
Series 23 of Ramblings begins on BBC Radio 4 next Thursday (7th February) at 3pm. More details on when Toyah will guest when the information becomes available.
UPDATE: Toyah has also tweeted about Ramblings (including this great photo of herself and Clare): “Recording radio 4 Ramblings with claire balding, I’m very slow, still limping“. View the original photo here. (Photo © Toyah Willcox)

Toyah talked passionately about David Bowie, and the Ziggy Stardust album, on Steve Lamacq’s Rock College on BBC Radio 2 last week. It’s such a great piece of audio it seems a shame to just let it disappear after its week on iPlayer… so here it is! (click below)
