Counting down to the release of Desire on RSD2018 this Saturday – Here is the advert which promoted the album’s release in various UK magazines back in 1987.

We haven’t had a Classic Toyah post for a while – Rectifying this with a very rare magazine advert from July 1981, from Finnish magazine ‘Soundi’. They also published an issue with Toyah’s Brave New World image on their cover in 1982, and another full-page advert for The Changeling. Click below to see the full size advert. I’ve always loved the original Love Is The Law press advert published in Japanese magazines in 1983. The ad was only ever available in black and white so I’ve made an attempt at colourisation. It didn’t turn out quite as well as I hoped it would but I thought I’d share it anyway… View the original here.

Toyah’s fantastic track ‘Sensational’, from the much loved 2008 album ‘In The Court Of The Crimson Queen’, debuted on UK television on Boxing Day in a new high profile advertising campaign by Weight Watchers.

Weight Watchers – New Approach features Patsy Kensit in one of the first adverts and is expected to run for most of 2013.
