Acoustic, Up Close & Personal with Toyah at Enginuity Friday evening 2nd October

Household name, pop icon, TV presenter and actress Toyah is coming to the Engine Shop at Enginuity in Coalbrookdale on Friday evening, 2nd October. ‘Acoustic, Up Close & Personal with Toyah’ is a wonderful chance to experience the 1980s pop superstar up close and personal at a lively song and storytelling style gig.

Toyah will be entertaining the audience with a selection of her much loved hit singles. Supported by musicians Chris Wong and Colin Hinds, her performance will include It’s a Mystery, Thunder in the Mountains, I Want to be Free and Good Morning Universe.

Toyah’s party night will be a return to the 80s

Revenge of the 80s sees Toyah Willcox headlining a special evening of live music on Mayflower Theatre’s stage on Sunday 31 May. The show will also feature The Christians and Jim Diamond with their greatest hits from the 1980s and beyond.

Willcox is a pop icon, TV presenter, and stage and screen actress (Calamity Jane, Cabaret, Jubilee, Quadophenia). She will be with her full band to perform numbers such as her much-loved hit singles It’s A Mystery, Thunder In The Mountains, Brave New World and I Want To Be Free.

Soundstock Festival, a two-day music and comedy event, will welcome thousands through its gates this weekend for its inaugural appearance on the festival calendar.

Music acts confirmed, include former X Factor contestant Lydia Lucy, as well as Toyah Willcox, Ultimate Eagles, the Johnny Cash Roadshow and the Simon and Garfunkel Story.

Comedians include Patrick Monahan, who will compere over the weekend, as well as Katherine Ryan and Chris Turner.

The festival, which will be at Little Boyton Hall, Roxwell Road, Chelmsford, and is being organised by Ingenious Rock, is backing Essex Air Ambulance, Chelmsford Community Radio and Stanley’s Heroes.

Toyah to headline at Aylesbury Live In the Park music festival

The ’80s rock star received the Friars Aylesbury Cup (FA Cup) for selling out Friars faster than any other artist 34 years

Eighties pop phenomenon Toyah will be headlining Aylesbury Town Council’s ‘Live in the Park’ music festival on Saturday August 29 in Vale Park.

Toyah will be on stage at 8:30pm and says she is very excited to be performing at this free outdoor event.

“I am thrilled to be playing ‘Live in the Park’ in Aylesbury! It will be a wonderful, fun day with great music. It’s only 34 years since I received the FA Cup (Friars Aylesbury Cup) for selling out Friars faster than any other artist in the history of Friars … so it’s about time I came back.”
