Dreamscape’s TOYAH Fanzine is hitting 50 issues. It’s fitting that the 50th fanzine should be a celebration of Toyah’s legendary album ANTHEM (though as a Toyah fan since 1980 just about everything Toyah has ever created/released/worked on is legendary to me!). I’m working on these now and will continue for the next few weeks, to be completed, printed and in the post for early September. There’s just a few more days left to order.

Well I think this is special, so fucking special (apologies, came over a bit Thom Yorke there…) Dreamscape’s Toyah Fanzine is just about to release it’s 50th Issue(s), celebrating Toyah’s magnificent masterpiece Anthem, the 1981 studio album that sounds as fresh and vibrant right now as it did way back then. Essentially… Timeless!
• Dreamscape 50 is available to pre-order and will be completed, printed and sent out – accompanied as always by Toyah postcards & flyers – in very early September. In time for the reissue of Anthem on CD+DVD, Egyptian Gold Vinyl and, amazing, Super Deluxe formats.

A huge Thank You to one of my music heroes from my teenage years – and the man responsible for the awesome drumming on Anthem and co-writer of one of the best songs of the 80s, Thunder In The Mountains – Nigel Glockler for posting this great photo on Facebook.
Nigel posted: “As I’ve said before and will say again: writing and playing with Toyah, Joel, Adrian & Phil was such an amazing time in my life and I am so very proud of the music we made.”
Fantastic to know Nigel is so fond of his Toyah days. All of the music from that era still sounds as amazing now as then! Thanks also to Gina Giambalvo-Glockler. Those little A5 booklets are not worthy!! (Photo © Nigel Glockler)

Next week marks the 38th Anniversary of the release of the Four More From Toyah EP. Four great songs (as well as a bonus fifth song on the flexi!!) and utterly incredible imagery. Here is a mini preview of the FMFT page from the forthcoming Issue 38 of our fanzine, along with the original EP front sleeve in the UK. The fanzines will be posted out at the beginning of December!
