Vive Le Rock Awards 2024 – A Star-Studded Evening Of Sparkling Performances!

Finally in this section, the enthusiastic and hard-working Toyah Willcox was presented with the Icon Award by Saffron Sprackling from 90’s stars Republica – it was wonderful to see the two ladies so enthusiastic and supportive of each other. Toyah’s long career in both acting and music continues to this day, with her popular ‘Sunday Lunch‘ broadcasts with husband Robert Fripp (King Crimson) garnering her many new fans across the globe since 2020’s lockdown, as well as festival appearances performing her hit songs!

Toyah and Saffron perform a gorgeous version of Hazel O’Connor’s Will You on the Electric Ladies Tour. See a different angle of the performance at Toyah’s Instagram.

In support of Hazel O’Connor, the Electric Ladies Tour will be going ahead with Toyah, Lene Lovich and Saffron of Republica.

Unfortunately, due to ongoing health issues, Hazel is unable to join the Electric Ladies Tour, but she will be very much with them in spirit.

Some of Hazel’s songs will be performed and a portion of the income from each show will going directly to Hazel to help towards her ongoing recovery.

All tickets remain valid.

Performing alongside their full band, each artist will perform their own set alongside some unique collaborations.

This hit-packed retro fest will include such classics as Thunder In The Mountains, Will You, Lucky Number, Ready To Go, Say When, Drop Dead Gorgeous and It’s A Mystery.

The Yarm, Lincoln, Exeter dates will no longer be taking place. Saffron will not be performing at Guilford, London & Milton Keynes, just Toyah & Lene Lovich.

They were like the first of their kind; their look the way they sang and the lyrics.”
