In the long ago, when lockdown stopped us going out to gigs musicians, did their very best to entertain us in other ways.
Nick Cave streamed the stunning Idiot Prayer, Laura Marling did online guitar lessons and Sophie Ellis-Bextor gave us her Kitchen Disco.
But maybe best of all were the Sunday Lunch videos from new wave/prog rock married couple Toyah Willcox and Robert Fripp, often with mysterious collaborator Sidney Jake. There’s no reason to stop a good thing, and even now, long after the last lockdown, they’ve just kept on going.
