Aaaaaaaah! has been nominated for “The Discovery Award” in the forthcoming Moët British Independent Film Awards, which will be held next month. The nominations were announced yesterday by Gemma Chan and Thomas Brodie Sangster.
Aaaaaaaah! is up against Burn Burn Burn, Orion: The Man Who Would Be King, The Return and Winter in “The Discovery Award” category which is sponsored by Raindance.
The winners will be announced at The Moët British Independent Film Awards on Sunday 6th December at Old Billingsgate. The event will be live streamed on www.bifa.film.

The team have a scary day out

The team arrive at an abandoned hospital for their team building day. Suddenly Bill appears and splits into two teams to survive a Zombie invasion. Jimmi tells Sid that the whole thing is ridiculous – but Daniel is fired up and starts to take on a lead role in the action.
Both teams are told that one of them has to make a sacrifice, so Mrs Tembe throws herself to the mercy of a zombie, while Heston reluctantly does the same.
Bill compliments Jimmi on surviving and he unenthusiastically admits they worked as a team. Daniel points out you can’t be a good leader without a good team, an idea that gets him thinking…

Many of the film’s key stars will be taking part in the event, to be staged at London’s Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith on 11th February 2016, including Phil Daniels who took the central role as disaffected Mod teenager Jimmy Cooper. Joining Daniels will be other major names from the cast including Toyah Willcox, Trevor Laird, Garry Cooper and Daniel Peacock, who together will share their memories in a Q&A to add an extra dimension.

The Who film Quadrophenia given immersive makeover at Hammersmith Apollo
The screening will feature original cast members talking ’bout their generation
Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo will be channelling Brighton seafront come February 2016, as the Who’s iconic 1979 film Quadrophenia is given an immersive cinematic staging.
The film will be screened alongside live re-enactments of its most famous scenes, and will be followed by a Q&A session with the film’s stars, including Phil Daniels, Toyah Willcox, Trevor Laird, Garry Cooper and Daniel Peacock.
The Who tribute act Who’s Who will perform songs from the soundtrack, which include “5:15” and “Love Reign O’er Me”, while the best-dressed in the audience will win prizes. Vespa scooters, the original 1973 Who album artwork and vintage photographs of the band will also be on display. Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday November 6: eventimapollo.com, AXS.com. The screening will take place February 11 2016.
