Official Toyah: New Live Dates Confirmed Today

There are several live dates confirmed this morning on Toyah’s official website: The ‘Rock & Bike Festival 2012’ in July: This is a non-music appearance. As with last year Toyah will compere. ‘The Greatest 80’s Party Ever’ at Audley End in August, and the Marc Bolan 35th Anniversary Show’ at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in September.

Toyah’s Official Facebook posted this morning that there will be another exclusive live track on The Official Toyah Gigs page at 00.01 on Sunday 1st April: “…as we start the 13 day countdown to the premiere of THE CHANGELING RESURRECTION @ BRIGHTON.

Audley End Concerts 2012

We are thrilled to announce that the much-loved Summer Picnic Concerts at Audley End House and Gardens will go ahead as usual this summer. English Heritage has teamed up with independent concert producers, Portal Events Ltd to deliver a fantastic line-up of musical stars and the concerts will take place from Friday 3rd August to Sunday 5th August 2012.

On Saturday 4th August it’s time to relive your youth with The Greatest 80’s Party…Ever! Hit 80s artists Rick Astley, Jimmy Somerville, Midge Ure, Nik Kershaw, T’pau, Toyah, Wang Chung and Dr and the Medics will wow the crowd into a party frenzy with their famous hit songs including “Never gonna give you up”, “China in your hand” and “Spirit in the Sky”.

Toyah: From punk princess to high priestess of TV, Toyah Willcox is a uniquely gifted performer. Toyah is going to rock Audley End with some of her 80’s classics.

Toyah Live 2012: The Best 80’s Party… Ever!: Audley End

Following the ‘Cambridge News’ report this morning, various concert and festival websites have updated this afternoon with news articles on the English Heritage Picnic Concerts 2012, taking place at Audley End House, Saffron Walden, Essex in early August. All of the reports mention Toyah as playing.

Sat 04 August: The Best 80’s Party… Ever! with Rick Astley, Jimmy Somerville, Midge Ure, Nick Kershaw, T’Pau, Toyah, Whang Chung and Dr and the Medics.

Rock & Bike Festival 2012

The official ‘Rock & Bike Festival’ website has Toyah listed as playing this year’s four-day festival in July.

This will be the third consecutive year Toyah has appeared at the Derbyshire event.

As with all gigs it’s advisable not to book until Toyah is officially confirmed.

The Rock & Bike Fest ’12: Thursday 12th – Saturday 14th July 2012 Elvaston Castle Showground, Borrowash Road, Derby

If you’re into Rock Music and Bikes or just festivals in general then this is for you. The Rock & Bike Fest moves to a new home at Elvaston Castle Showground, in Derby, and will happen from 12th until 14th of July 2012.

The first acts confirmed for the two stages are: Saturday night headliners The Sweet, plus Toyah Willcox, x-UFO, Killerz, Guns N Roses Experience, Rammlied, Sack Sabbath, OC/DC, Jilted Generation, Evilscarecrow, Jester, Stage Fright, Gatecrasher, Faithealer/Junction, Hell On High Heelz + more to follow including Friday night headliners.

80’s Music Sensations Confirm Scottish Date

It may have been over 20 years since they first burst onto the music scene with their catchy hits, but over two decades on, the greatest line up of eighties music icons is coming to Glasgow for an exclusive outdoor show this summer. Here and Now, a concert featuring the biggest artists from the 1980s, will take music lovers down memory lane as a cast list of seven pop icons take to the stage. Paul Young will get heart rates racing when he performs his massive number one hit, ‘Wherever I lay my hat’, while Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ will get the crowd on their feet. Others include Toyah, The Real Thing, Curiosity Killed the Cat, Belinda Carlisle and T’Pau.

The night has been billed by event organiser CK Events as the biggest party on the green this summer. The back to back, hit only concert takes place at Glasgow Green, in the heart of Glasgow, on Saturday 21 July 2012.

Tickets, priced at £36, go on sale on Friday (9th March 2012) from www.ticketline.co.uk. Gates open at 6.30pm on Saturday 21 July 2012.

Let’s Rock The Moor 2012: Updates

It’s the official flyer for ‘Let’s Rock The Moor!’ Summer 2012, the one day festival that includes Toyah in its line-up.

‘Lets Rock The Moor!’, taking place in Cookham, Berkshire on Saturday 12th May, has also had more bands added. Nick Heyward and Modern Romance are both now also on the bill.

From the website: Let’s Rock The Moor! will be returning for its 4th year on Saturday May 12th, with an action packed day of live music at this Boutique, Family Friendly, 80’s Festival. Now relocated on to a much larger site, Billy Ocean, Go West, Heaven 17, Boney M, Toyah, Nick Heyward, China Crisis and Modern Romance are all confirmed. Set in the picturesque village of Cookham in Berkshire, this event has plenty to do for everyone!

The Changeling Resurrection

It’s now less than a month until the first ‘Changeling Resurrection’ gig takes place. The opening night is at Brighton’s Concorde 2 on Saturday 14th April. Further details on the tour are available at ‘The Official Toyah Gigs’ page here.
