'My Hi-De-High Life:
Before, During and After Su
Pollard', Peter Keogh's fantastic
autobiography from Apex
Publishing, is available NOW at Amazon

preview a selection of pages from
the book at Amazon.
The name Peter Keogh may not
be instantly recognisable to many
people but he was married to one
of the most popular British
comedy actresses of the 1980s, Su
Pollard...
The book is already receiving
great reviews, and is a must read
for fans of Su, fans of great
life stories and fans of a really
good read. 'My Hi-De-High Life:
Before, During and After Su
Pollard' has forewords by, among
others, the legendary Debbie
Reynolds:
Peter Keogh's book is
sensational reading. He has led a
remarkable life and has made many
lasting frienships. Peter is
loved by so many, including me. Debbie
Reynolds
Peter's book is a fun and
insightful read. If I had one
reservation it's that I'm not in
it enough, but living with him
for seven years was a roller
coaster of a ride. To know Peter
is to love him. John
Frost
What a great and
empowering read. I was racing to
the next adventure with a fixed
smile of joy and delight in this
spirited, brave and loving
memoir. This is Peter's 'yellow
brick road' - a lion with courage
from the beginning. Tina

.The
Dominion Post: Hi de Hi! Star
Lives Life With A Ho de Ho
Response
Tuesday
19th November, 2013
It was too tempting
to resist when she spotted Hi de
Hi! star Su Pollard sipping tea
at a Wellington cafe.
"Hi de hi," Helen Chell
said leaning in, apologetically
interrupting this interview.
Pollard's reaction was instant:
"Ho de ho."
Those of the right age will
recognise the exchange as the
catchphrase said to campers at a
fictional campground in the
popular British comedy Hi de Hi!.
Pollard, the star of the
long-running sitcom, in which she
played Peggy Ollerenshaw, is in
town to promote Annie, the
touring British stage show she
stars in, which is coming to
Wellington next year. But despite
Hi de Hi! wrapping in 1988 after
eight years, all roads lead back
to it and, particularly "Hi
de hi, ho de ho."
The greeting - and response - has
become part of Pollard's
day-to-day life, but a part she
takes with joy.

British songstress
and comedy actress Su Pollard is
in Christchurch, but her aim is
to help people in the Pacific
Islands.
Pollard spent yesterday with
Ferrymead Lions Club member Andy
Blakie as the pair inspected
glasses for flaws at the club's

The club has, since 1987, been
collecting old glasses,
sterilising them and
recalibrating them, to be sent to
the organisation Volunteer
Opthalmologist Services Overseas
for redistribution to people with
poor eyesight in the Pacific
Islands.

her roles in British sitcoms

.Burton
Mail: Su Pollard Gets Ready To
Panto With David 'The Hoff'
Hasselhoff
Sunday
10th November, 2013
A new interview with
Su, published on Thursday, by the
Burton Mail.
Su Pollard knows a thing or two
about pantomime oh yes she
does!
The comedienne been treading the
panto boards for almost 40 years,
only taking a couple of years out
when other commitments came
along.
I love to do panto every
year, says the funny woman
and trust me, she is
funny. She had me giggling away
and chatted to me as if she had
known me for years. I
started out from a fairy
but that was boring. I just stood
there with a wand.
Su Pollard says Hi-de-Hi
to Nottingham as Mimi the Mermaid
in Peter Pan pantomime
Nottinghams Theatre Royal
will be welcoming the citys
very own veteran star of stage
and screen when it opens this
years pantomime - Su
Pollard.
Peter Pan will be prancing into
swashbuckling action in this fun
translation of the JM Barrie
classic tale of the boy who can
fly and never ages. It seems the
same can be said of Su Pollard
who it seems that after 40 years
in showbusiness is still flying
high and maintaining her original
quirky style and quick humour.
Still remembered most fondly for
her role as chalet maid Peggy in
Hi-de-Hi, Su is preparing for her
move back to Nottingham for the
panto season ahead but isnt
afraid to look back on her time
as the TV favourite.
"I look back on Hi-de-Hi
with fondness, explained
Su. Its great to be
well-remembered and loved for a
part and it is a show that people
continue to enjoy.!
