Gay: Beyond 'The Stag'

A discussion
with Su, regarding the recent
closure of 'The Stag, is included
in an article at 'So So Gay'.
... We had the opportunity to
speak to Su Pollard, famed
actress and key patron to the
company, and Artistic Director
Peter Bull on their thoughts and
feelings about the ending of an
era for them. Surprisingly their
outlook was incredibly upbeat.
Onwards and upwards,
now, says Pollard. We
know weve got a good brand.
Its just up to us to now
keep the momentum going and build
on what weve already
achieved. Peter deserves to
continue and do even
mega-better!
Pollard puts the success down to
Bulls bravery in staging
new works and showcasing new
talent. New writers were
given a chance to do new work. I
think thats a brilliant
idea. We all need new works.
Thats why I love
Peters attitude. Hes
a Brave New World
person. He likes to give new
works a go, and he should be
absolutely applauded for
it.

.Wenweipo:
Su Pollard Interview
Friday
6th April, 2012
Interview
Here's
another interview with Su from
Hong King, this one from the
'Wenweipo' newspaper.
I've linked to the article via
Google Translate for anyone who
would like to read it, though the
transalation isn't quite as
straightforward as you would
hope.
Say Su's most famous role was
undoubtedly the TV sketch
"Hi-de-Hi" in the
nervous maid Peggy, Miss, this
1980s for eight consecutive years
in the prime-time TV series very
popular with viewers until today
is still around the world from
time to time replay.
Still, it's an interesting read.
