Toyah has paid tribute to George Michael, who died on Christmas Day – “My deepest condolences to all George Michael’s loved ones, friends & fans. This has come as a complete shock. He was a mighty talent“. I always thought Wham! were a great pop band. A perfect five-year career, with lots of happy memories and music. Rest in Peace, George Michael.

A photo of Toyah from early 1980 is included in this week’s issue of ‘Inside Soap’ magazine, in a feature on children being named after pop star’s, in real life and in soaps. Of course a Coronation Street character from the past was named after Toyah. (Thanks to Damon King)
