Sat
31st March, 2007: Toyah newsy
bits & pieces! |
Toyah will be at
the 'Memorabilia 2007' event
today and tomorrow, at the
Birmingham NEC.
Channel 5 celebrated its 10th
Birthday yesterday with a
selection of shows looking back
over the last ten years. Toyah
appeared very briefly in a clip
from the, now defunct, Night
Fever, during last night's
I Blame The Spice Girls. The
karaoke quiz show was presented
by Sugg and ran from 1997 until
2002..
Deadline, the new
"reality" show, hosted
by Janet Street-Porter, begins on
Wednesday 4th April, 10pm on ITV2
(repeated on ITV1 immediately
after at 11pm). It's unlikely
that Toyah will be part of this
but on the offchance she is I
thought I would mention it. [ Thanks

29th March, 2007: The sun is
setting in the sky... |
This
weekend the Teletubbies are
celebrating their 10th birthday.
Toyah's voice, of course, can be
heard on the intro/outro of the
children's programme. Toyah
has been heard all over the
world, innumerable times saying: Over
the hills and far away
Teletubbies come to play, and
The sun is setting on the sky
Teletubbies say goodbye.
Despite
ceasing making new programmes
five years ago Teletubbies is
still a huge worldwide success.
Ten
years on and the arrival of
Teletubbies is now recognized as
a watershed moment in the history
of preschool television.
