Toyah played two sets at the WASTED Festival in Morecambe on Saturday 21st May 2005.

The first, a Spoken Word, took place at The Platform venue.

This saw Toyah reciting a fable/story about a wicked Aunt, with metal teeth,
who ate children! The Platform forms part of a disused market and is
possibly in the old meat market section, so Toyah's tale was quite fitting
 in these circumstances.

Toyah kept a room full of punks in virtual silence for the length of her
Spoken Word set, and post-story, answered audience questions and posed
for pictures with old and new fans.

Toyah's music set, including a brass section, was at The Market Arena.

And what a set! This must rank as one of the best Toyah sets for many a year.
Definitely the best since her '25th Anniversary' gig at the Mean Fiddler in
 London back in October 2003.

The set began with The Door's 'Hello I love You', one of only two covers
included, along with 'She Sells Sanctuary' by The Cult. Toyah has never
performed either before and both were excellent.

Also included were songs from four of her five Safari studio albums,
most notably 'I Explode' from LOVE IS THE LAW, rarely included in a
 live Toyah set-list.

And bringing us slap bang back into the Noughties, the mighty, and worth
waiting 22 years for, 'Little Tears Of Love'!
