National Theatre company at 18. She's had 13 Top
40 singles, recorded 20 albums and written two
books. Her work as an actress includes the title
role in Calamity Jane and Miranda in Derek
Jarman's The Tempest. Recently played Billie
Piper's mother in Secret Diary Of A Call Girl.
Radio plays include Headcrash and Peter
Pan.

Worst Moment: "Always
when I hear the words: "It's a wrap". I
hate it when a job finishes."
Off Air: "I
live in an old house in rural Worcestershire with
my husband, guitarist Robert Fripp and a large
rabbit, William Fredrick. We also have a French
apartment near Nice."
Ambition: "To
star on Broadway and in Los Angeles, and to win a
Bafta."
