\"\"There’s so much happens in Toyahland each year it’s virtually impossible to whittle down the releases, events, appearances etc. to just ten, but somehow we manage it anyway.<\/p>\n

Here are Dreamscape’s 10 most interesting Toyah happenings of 2012 (as I say every year, I’m sure yours will be different).<\/p>\n

1. The Changeling Resurrection<\/a> and The Changeling Resurrection II<\/a><\/strong>: Two UK tours, 17 dates in total, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Toyah’s incredible 1982 album ‘The Changeling’.<\/p>\n

2. King’s Heath Walk of Fame<\/a><\/strong>: Toyah became the first inductee in July, received her star\/plaque from ELP’s Bev Bevan and played a homecoming gig, her first ever, in King’s Heath, at the Hare & Hounds.<\/p>\n

3. I Believe In Father Christmas<\/a><\/strong>: Marking the 30th anniversary of the song Toyah recorded for Pop Goes Christmas<\/em>, and released as a single, Toyah’s 26th in the UK, in December.<\/p>\n

4.<\/strong> Twenty Four From Toyah<\/a><\/strong>: Toyah’s Christmas gift to fans, a digital album of 24 rare live recordings from various gigs and tours spanning 1993 to 2012.<\/p>\n

5.<\/strong> Toyah Live 2012<\/strong>: Let’s Rock The Moor<\/a><\/strong>, Decades Festival<\/a><\/strong>, Mylor Sessions<\/a><\/strong>, Birmingham Pride<\/a><\/strong>, Blackpool Pride<\/a><\/strong>, Manchester Pride<\/a><\/strong>, Newcastle Pride<\/a><\/strong>, Audley End<\/a><\/strong>, Here & Now Glasgow<\/a><\/strong>, Lytham Proms<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6.<\/strong> Toyah on Vintage TV<\/a><\/strong>: A variety of appearances on the music channel for Toyah in 2012: My Vintage<\/em>, Pat Sharp’s Top Ten<\/em>, The Janice Long Review Show<\/em> and Toyah’s Christmas At The Zoo<\/em>.<\/p>\n

7.<\/strong> Sleeping Beauty<\/a><\/strong>: Almost 100 performances at The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury alongside Gareth Gates, with numerous positive reviews. Definitely one of Toyah’s biggest, and longest running, pantomimes!<\/p>\n

8.<\/strong> Toyah in Doctor Who<\/a><\/strong> (almost!): Toyah contributes to Behind The Sofa<\/a><\/strong>, a charity book of DW<\/em> related memories. Toyah guests on four BBC America DW<\/em> documentary specials. More Than 30 Years In The TARDIS<\/em> is announced for DVD release.<\/p>\n

9.<\/strong> Cover Star<\/strong>: More magazine covers for Toyah in 2012: Lifestyle<\/a><\/strong> and National Trust<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

10.<\/strong> Sensational<\/a><\/strong>: The opening song on Toyah’s 2008 album ‘In The Court Of The Crimson Queen’ is the soundtrack to a new Weight Watchers<\/em> televsion as campaign in commercials starring Patsy Kensit.<\/p>\n
